Fork the repository.\n\n2. Run the following commands to clone your fork. Make sure you replace `\u003cYour GitHub ID\u003e` with your GitHub ID.\n\n   ```bash\n   git clone https://github.com/\u003cYour GitHub ID\u003e/dev-guide.git\n   cd dev-guide\n   ```\n\n### Build and preview the website\n\nYou'll need to install [Hugo](https://gohugo.io/) to build the website before you can **preview it**.\n\n#### Install Hugo extended\n\nGo to the [Hugo releases page](https://github.com/gohugoio/hugo/releases) and download the `hugo_extended` version that suits your OS (version 0.75+).\n\n**EXTENDED version is MANDATORY to properly build the static content!**\n\nNote: If you install Hugo on Windows, you need to add environment variables for the .exe file of Hugo. Run `hugo version` to check if the installation is successful.\n\n### Running the website locally\n\nAfter you install Hugo, run the following command:\n\n```bash\n# Launch KubeSphere extension development guide\nmake extension-dev-guide\n```\n\nor\n\n```bash\n# Launch KubeSphere development guide\nmake dev-guide\n```\n\nNow you can preview the website in your browser at `http://localhost:1313/`.\n\n### Open a pull request\n\nOpen a [pull request (PR)](https://help.github.com/en/desktop/contributing-to-projects/creating-an-issue-or-pull-request#creating-a-new-pull-request) to contribute to our website.
