For some pairs of nodes there\nis a demand of vehicles that want to go from the first node to the second one.\n\nUnder the assumption that the flow will be distributed according the Wardrop\ncriterium, the toolbox provides a variety of algorithms to compute such flow.\n\nIn the following example we can see the well known Siouf Falls network\n(dessigned for academic purposes) with the flow obtained after the\nassignment. The width of the arcs is proportional to the assigned flow. The arcs\nin magenta represent the origin-destination pairs.\n\n![single assignment](pics/siouxlin3.png)\n\n### Multi-Class Static Assignment.\n\nIn this case the demands are differentiated according to their transport class\n(different values of time) and each class can use different modes (car, bus,\netc.). The travel time functions are non symetric with respect to the different\nclass/mode flows. Each class/mode can have prohibited arcs in the network.\n\nIn the following example we can see the Sioux Falls Network with three modes :\ncar, bus and truck. The figures show the flow of cars, the flow of busses and\nthe flows of trucks (the demands are shown in magenta).\n\n![multi assignment](pics/siouxlos33.png)\n\n## Authors\n\nPablo Lotito, Elina Mancinelli and the collaboration of Jean-Pierre Quadrat,\nL. Wynter\n\nInria METALAU project.\n\n## Version\n\nVersion 5. CiudadSim5 (CS5). This is a beta version. It is not completely\ncompatible with the previous version see the IMPROVEMENT section.\n\n## License\n\nLGPL.\n\n## Availability\n\nWorks on Linux, Unix (Sun Solaris, Dec alpha), Windows, MacOSX.\n\n## Installation\n\nPut the archive in the contrib directory of\n[ScicosLab](http://www.scicoslab.org/) (old name ScilabGtk).  It does not work\nwith the official consortium Scilab.  For old version of scilab before 4.1 it is\nneeded to install first the maxplus toolbox.\n\nUnzip the archive.\n\nPut the directory CS5 at the upper level of contrib if necessary (after some\nunzip process the directory CS5 is inside another directory CS5).\n\nWhen we sart scilab now a menu toolboxes must appear with CS5 inside.\n\n## Loading\n\nThe toolbox is available after loading.  For that in the ScilabGtk menu\n`toolboxes` click on CS5.  If everything works a message will appear in the\nscilab window: `CiudadSim toolbox loaded ....`\n\nInside the scilab window the command `edit_graph` will open a window dedicated\nto ciudadsim.\n\nTry first the menu example to load an example.\n\nThere is an help completely consistant with the standard scilab help.  It is\n`\"Traffic assignment\"` chapter of the scilab help.\n\nThere is a manual in the directory manual of the the directory CS5\n\nThere is a small demo but it must be loded in the directory demo.  It is not\navailable by the menu demo because it has to be improved.\n\n## Demos\n\nA demo is available by `exec \"demo/TrafficAssignDemo.sce\"` when the working\ndirectory of scilab is CS4.\n\nDuring the demo don't forget to save the edited graph. If you don't do that an\nerror message of Scilab will tell you that the edited graph does not exist.\n\nInside Windows the plotting facilities of Metanet do not work, this induces a\nbug when these facilities are called.\n\n## Manual\n\nIn the `help` menu of Scilab search for `Traffic Assignment Functions`. All the\nfunctions are documented.\n\nAn html documentation is available in the directory and [online](https://lecrapouille.github.io/CiudadSim).\n\nIn the directory manual we can find the [complete manual](manual/manual.pdf) in\npdf.\n\n\n## Improvements and modifications\n\n- A set of compatible metanet macros are now given with the toolbox (indeed some\n  new edit_graph macros ave incompatibilities with the ones used by\n  CiudadSim. They are overwritten. To restore thes macros start a fresh scilab\n  version).\n- The new version works with edit_graph instead of SCIGRAPH.\n- The speed of FW and DSD has been improved\n- More algorithm are provided (Logit type algorithm and NewtArc)\n- The highest level function have not anymore the argument `net` a global\n  NetList variable `'%NET'` has been introduced which contains all the\n  information\n- The Netlist have more fields name of algorithm used, precision, etc....\n- The variable 'ben' giving information about the way the algorithm has worked\n  has been changed and unified between the different algorithm\n\n## Problems\n\nIn case of difficulties for loading the toolboxes. Try the following procedure:\n- Go inside the CS4 toolbox directory:\n  `........../ScilabGtk/contrib/CS5/src`\n- Remove all the object files\n  `rm *.o *.lo *.a *.la *.so Make*`\n- Remove the .dll only if you have a C compiler on windows.\n- Leave scilab.\n- Start scilab.\n- Load CS5.\n\nFor problems, comments, ... send mail to :\n- plotito@exa.unicen.edu.ar\n- Jean-Pierre.Quadrat@inria.fr\n","project_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Flecrapouille%2Fciudadsim","html_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/projects/github.com%2Flecrapouille%2Fciudadsim","lists_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Flecrapouille%2Fciudadsim/lists"}
