If your distribution segments\ndevelopment files from core packages (i.e., \\*-devel or \\*-dev packages), you\nmay need to install those as well:\n\n* gcc\n* autoconf-archive\n* automake\n* autopoint\n* asciidoc\n* gettext with development files\n* ncurses with development files\n\nIf you are using a release tarball, the following commands can be used to build\nand install calcurse:\n\n    $ ./configure\n    $ make\n    $ make install\n\nNote that `make install` needs to be run as root. When working on a Git\ncheckout, you need to run `./autogen.sh` before `./configure`.\n\n## Source Overview\n\n* `build-aux`: auxiliary files for the build process\n* `contrib`: useful tools such as hooks or the CalDAV synchronization script\n* `doc`: detailed documentation in plain text and HTML\n* `po`: translations and i18n-related files\n* `scripts`: additional official scripts, such as `calcurse-upgrade`\n* `src`: the actual calcurse source files\n* `test`: test suite and test cases for calcurse\n\n## Authors\n\ncalcurse was created by Frederic Culot in 2004. Since 2011, the project is\nmaintained by Lukas Fleischer. Many core features added to calcurse since 2017\nwere designed and implemented by Lars Henriksen.\n\nOf course, there are numerous other contributors. Check the Git commit log and\nthe `Thanks` section in the manual for a list of people who have contributed by\nreporting bugs, sending fixes, or suggesting improvements.\n\n## Contributing and Donations\n\nPatches, bug reports and other requests are always welcome!
