Ensure that Yarn is not separately installed from another source, but is installed _via_ corepack.\n\nLaunch the development environment:\n\n```sh\n# To launch the desktop app (run scripts in different terminals):\n$ yarn desktop:serve        # start webpack dev server\n$ yarn desktop:start        # launch electron (make sure the desktop:serve finished to build)\n\n# To launch the web app:\n$ yarn run web:serve        # it will be avaiable in http://localhost:8080\n```\n\n:warning: Ubuntu users: the application may present some issues using GPU. In order to bypass the GPU and process it using directly the CPU (software), please run lichtblick using the variable `LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE` set to `1`:\n\n```sh\n$ LIBGL_ALWAYS_SOFTWARE=1 yarn desktop:start\n```\n\n## :hammer_and_wrench: Building Lichtblick\n\nBuild the application for production using these commands:\n\n```sh\n# To build the desktop apps:\n$ yarn run desktop:build:prod   # compile necessary files\n\n- yarn run package:win         # Package for windows\n- yarn run package:darwin      # Package for macOS\n- yarn run package:linux       # Package for linux\n\n# To build the web app:\n$ yarn run web:build:prod\n\n# To build and run the web app using docker:\n$ docker build . -t lichtblick\n$ docker run -p 8080:8080 lichtblick\n\n# It is possible to clean up build files using the following command:\n$ yarn run clean\n```\n\n- The desktop builds are located in the `dist` directory, and the web builds are found in the `web/.webpack` directory.\n\n## :warning: Note on Linux dependencies (.tar.gz only)\n\nWhen installing the **`.tar.gz` package**, unlike the `.deb`, **system dependencies are not installed automatically**.\nIn many cases, if you already have **Google Chrome** or another Chromium-based application installed, Lichtblick will run fine since these applications bring most of the required libraries.\n\nHowever, if you see errors about missing libraries when launching Lichtblick, you will need to install them manually.\nThe most common missing dependencies are:\n\n- `libgtk-3-0`\n- `libatk1.0-0`\n- `libatk-bridge2.0-0`\n- `libatspi2.0-0`\n- `libnss3`\n- `libnspr4`\n- `libasound2`\n- `libcups2`\n- `libnotify4`\n- `libxtst6`\n- `xdg-utils`\n- `libdrm2`\n- `libgbm1`\n- `libxcb-dri3-0`\n\nExample (Debian/Ubuntu):\n\n```bash\nsudo apt-get update \u0026\u0026 sudo apt-get install libgtk-3-0 libatk1.0-0 libatk-bridge2.0-0 libatspi2.0-0 libnss3 libnspr4 libasound2 libcups2 libnotify4 libxtst6 xdg-utils libdrm2 libgbm1 libxcb-dri3-0\n```\n\n👉 **Recommendation**: if using the `.tar.gz`, always check the error messages in the terminal.
