is a reimplementation of OpenAI's Whisper model using CTranslate2, which is a fast inference engine for Transformer models. This container provides a Wyoming protocol server for faster-whisper.\n\n[![faster-whisper]()](https://github.com/SYSTRAN/faster-whisper)\n\n## Supported Architectures\n\nWe utilise the docker manifest for multi-platform awareness. These parameters are separated by a colon and indicate `\u003cexternal\u003e:\u003cinternal\u003e` respectively. For example, `-p 8080:80` would expose port `80` from inside the container to be accessible from the host's IP on port `8080` outside the container.\n\n| Parameter | Function |\n| :----: | --- |\n| `-p 10300:10300` | Wyoming connection port. |\n| `-e PUID=1000` | for UserID - see below for explanation |\n| `-e PGID=1000` | for GroupID - see below for explanation |\n| `-e TZ=Etc/UTC` | specify a timezone to use, see this [list](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_tz_database_time_zones#List). |\n| `-e DEBUG=` | If set to `true`, or any other value, the container will output debug logs. |\n| `-e LOCAL_ONLY=` | If set to `true`, or any other value, the container will not attempt to download models from HuggingFace and will only use locally-provided models. |\n| `-e WHISPER_BEAM=1` | Number of candidates to consider simultaneously during transcription. |\n| `-e WHISPER_LANG=auto` | Two character code for the language that you will speak to the add-on. |\n| `-e WHISPER_MODEL=auto` | Whisper model that will be used for transcription. Please [read the docs](https://docs.linuxserver.io/misc/read-only/). |\n\n## Environment variables from files (Docker secrets)\n\nYou can set any environment variable from a file by using a special prepend `FILE__`.\n\nAs an example:\n\n```bash\n-e FILE__MYVAR=/run/secrets/mysecretvariable\n```\n\nWill set the environment variable `MYVAR` based on the contents of the `/run/secrets/mysecretvariable` file.\n\n## Umask for running applications\n\nFor all of our images we provide the ability to override the default umask settings for services started within the containers using the optional `-e UMASK=022` setting.\nKeep in mind umask is not chmod it subtracts from permissions based on it's value it does not add. With some exceptions (noted in the relevant readme.md), we do not recommend or support updating apps inside the container.
