documents\n\n## Application\n\n_MdData_ parses a [Markdown] document and extracts a hierarchic data structure,\nwhich represents headlines and lists.\n\nTake a look at the [test document](test/data/data.md) and the [result](test/data/data.json).\n\nIt can be used as a function or with [Gulp].\n\n## Interface\n\n_MdData_ makes use of [GulpText _simple_][gulp-text-simple] to provide the API.\nTherefore, it currently supports three ways of usage.\n\n1. Use the `readFileSync(path)` function, to get the extracted\n   data of a [Markdown] file.\n2. Specify a [Markdown] string, to get the extracted data.\n3.
