d3-regular-polygon\n\nThis is a module for building regular polygons with a variable number of edges\nin `d3`. It is built to work with SVG `path` tags\nand `canvas`.\n\n## Installing\n\nIf you use NPM, `npm install d3-polygon`. Otherwise, download the [latest release](https://github.com/maxblee/d3-regular-polygon/releases/latest).\n\n## API Reference\n\n\u003ca href=\"#regular-polygon\" name=\"regular-polygon\"\u003e# \u003cb\u003ed3.regularPolygon\u003c/b\u003e(cx = 0, cy = 0, r, edges, rotation = 0)\u003c/a\u003e\n\nConstructs a new default constructor for regular polygons. You can optionally set the center x position `cx`, the center y position `cy`, the radius `r`, the number of sides `edges`, or the rotation of the first vertex (in radians) `rotation`.\n\nStarting with\n\n```javascript\nvar poly = d3.regularPolygon()\n```\n\nyou can also set those paramters using one of the following\nmethod-chaining constructor methods:\n\n### Constructor Methods\n\n\u003ca href=\"#_radius\" name=\"radius\"\u003e# poly.radius(r)\u003c/a\u003e\n\nSets the radius of the polygon.\n\n\u003ca href=\"#_center\" name=\"center\"\u003e# poly.center(x, y)\u003c/a\u003e\n\nSets the center of the polygon. If there is only one argument, it sets x = x[0], y = x[1].\n\n\u003ca href=\"#_edges\" name=\"edges\"\u003e# poly.edges(numEdges)\u003c/a\u003e\n\nSets the number of sides the polygon has. Should be an integer\ngreater or equal to 3.\n\n\u003ca href=\"#_rotation\" name=\"rotation\"\u003e#poly.rotation(rotation)\u003c/a\u003e\n\nSets the amount of (in radians) you want the polygon to rotate (relative to the position of the first vertex).\n\n### Vertex methods\n\nYou can also get information about the vertices of your regular polygon. These methods are designed to make it easy to render the polygon in different contexts.\n\n\u003ca href=\"#_coords\" name=\"coords\"\u003e# poly.coords()\u003c/a\u003e\n\nReturns the coordinates as an array of 2-item arrays [[x0, y0], [x1,y1]], etc.\n\n\u003ca href=\"#_path\" name=\"path\"\u003e# poly.path()\u003c/a\u003e\n\nReturns the SVG path of the polygon (i.e. the d-attribute).\n\nIn other words, rendering the polygon is as easy as:\n\n```javascript\nd3.select(\"#my-graphic\")\n    .append(\"path\")\n    .attr(\"d\", poly.path());\n```\n\n\u003ca href=\"#_polygon\" name=\"polygon\"\u003e# poly.polygon()\u003c/a\u003e\n\nReturns the SVG `\u003cpolygon\u003e` points attribute for the polygon.\n\nIn other words, you can also render a polygon as:\n\n```javascript\nselection.append(\"polygon\")\n    .attr(\"points\", poly.polygon());\n```\n\n\u003ca href=\"#_polygon\" name=\"polygon\"\u003e# poly.canvas(context)\u003c/a\u003e\n\nThis renders the polygon to canvas. Here's an example of how to use that:\n\n```javascript\nvar canvas = document.getElementById(\"my-canvas\");\nvar context = canvas.getContext(\"2d\");\ncontext.fillStyle = \"maroon\";\npoly.canvas(context);\ncontext.fill();\n```\n\n### Measurements\n\nFinally, you can run measurements of the polygon.
