It focusses on\nbatch-processing to support any number of input scans.\n\n## Setting Up Regular Backups\n\nCreating regular backups is essential to avoid losing all personal documents in\ncase of unforeseen events. This guide will help you set up a backup system\nusing the provided files.\n\n### Step 1: Install the paperless-backup Script\n\n1. Copy the script `paperless-backup` to `/usr/bin/` to make it globally\n   accessible.\n2. The script requires two inputs:\n\n   - The path to Paperless' docker-compose.yml file.\n   - A file containing the encryption credentials.\n\n  When executed, it will export all of Paperless' state to a specified export\n  folder.\n\n\n### Step 2: Set Up the Backup Service\n\n1. Open the `paperless-backup.service` file.\n2. Update the `SetCredentialEncrypted` value to match the encryption credential\n   specific to the device you are setting up.\n3. Copy the updated `paperless-backup.service` file to `/etc/systemd/system/`.\n4. Enable the service by running `systemctl enable paperless-backup.service`\n5. Test the setup by manually triggering a backup with `systemctl start\n   paperless-backup`\n\n### Step 3: Schedule Backups with a Timer\n\n1. Open the `paperless-backup.timer` file and adjust the schedule to meet your\n   needs.\n2. Copy the file to `/etc/systemd/system/`.\n3. Enable the timer by running `systemctl enable paperless-backup.timer`\n4. The timer will now automatically perform backups based on the configured\n   schedule.\n","project_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fmaxg87%2Fscans-to-pdfs","html_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/projects/github.com%2Fmaxg87%2Fscans-to-pdfs","lists_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fmaxg87%2Fscans-to-pdfs/lists"}
