You may request an invitation to join from jonathan.callahan@dri.com.\n\n# AirSensor2 R Package\n\n```\nUtilities for working with air quality monitoring data from low-cost sensors\nwith a focus on small particulates (PM2.5). Initial focus is on sensors\nproduced by 'PurpleAir' \u003chttps://www2.purpleair.com\u003e.\n```\n\n## Background\n\nThe **AirSensor2** package is a refactoring of the core data access and \nmanipulation functionality found in the \n[AirSensor](https://mazamascience.github.io/AirSensor/) package. The goal in \n**AirSensor2** is to create a lean, generic package that is more easily \nmaintained and is focused on data ingest and basic data manipulation.\n\nWhile initially focused on data from PurpleAir sensors, **AirSensor2** \naims to provide tools that can be used with a wide variety of low-cost\nair quality sensors so that local communities can more easily access, QC and\nvisualize local air quality.\n\nDevelopment of the original **AirSensor** package was supported by the \n[South Coast Air Quality Management District](http://scaqmd.org)\nwith funds from a US EPA STAR grant.
