The primary\ngoals of PDFio are:\n\n- Read and write any version of PDF file\n- Provide access to pages, objects, and streams within a PDF file\n- Support reading and writing of encrypted PDF files\n- Extract or embed useful metadata (author, creator, page information, etc.)\n- \"Filter\" PDF files, for example to extract a range of pages or to embed fonts\n  that are missing from a PDF\n- Provide access to objects used for each page\n\nPDFio is *not* concerned with rendering or viewing a PDF file, although a PDF\nRIP or viewer could be written using it.\n\nCopyright © 2021-2026 by Michael R Sweet.
