Make sure you clone the submodules.\n\n## Organization\n\n- `board`: schematics and PCB layout\n- `stm`: STM32 firmware (drives the display)\n- `stmboot`: STM32 bootloader\n- `esp`: ESP8266 firmware (grabs information from the internet)\n- `espweb`: ESP8266 web-based configuration page source\n- `cfgserver`: Server for shipping unattended config and software updates (without using the webui)\n- `bmap`: Tools for generating graphics resources\n- `caplog`: Tools for debugging\n- `vendor`: Various dependencies in source form (everything not listed below)\n- `sim`: Stubs/shims for running the `esp` and `stm` codebases under linux.\n\n## Dependencies\n\n- A recent `arm-none-eabi-gcc` installation (recommended at least version 9, tested with version 10)\n- A recent `xtensa-lx106-elf-gcc` installation (tested against 5.2)\n- Python 3 and the packages in `requirements.txt`\n  - If you aren't building the `espweb` directory you do not require the `cryptography` package listed\n- OpenOCD (for flashing)\n  - If you have PlatformIO installed we use its OpenOCD by default, so you may not need to install it system-wide.\n- CMake (version 3.13 or later is recommended)\n\nand everything checked out in the `vendor` directory.
