Feel free to use it as an inspiration or as\na learning resource.\n\n## Features:\n - Express server with NodeJS\n - Serverside rendering via PugJS template engine\n - MongoDB database synchronization via mongoose\n - Dynamic background rendered on the clientside\n - Rate limitation, request compression and form validation checks\n - Written in Typescript\n\n## How to run it locally\n\n As a prerequisite you must either have [MongoDB Community Server](https://www.mongodb.com/try/download/community) installed locally or have an MongoDB Atlas account (you can create one for free [here](https://www.mongodb.com/cloud/atlas/register)).\n Also make sure to have NodeJS version `18.17.0` or above installed.\n\nAfter that clone the repository locally (if you havent already):\n\n```bash\ngit clone git@github.com:MisterRooster/rooster-board.git\n```\n\nThen move to the project directory and install dependencies:\n\n```bash\ncd rooster-board\nnpm install\n```\n\nNow copy the `.env.example` environment configuration file as `.env` at the root of the project and add your cluster connection string url `DB_URL` (replace your username and password):\n\n```bash\nDB_URI=mongodb+srv://\u003cusername\u003e:\u003cpassword\u003e@\u003cclustername\u003e.mongodb.net/\n```\nYou can optionally change the server port via `PORT`, node environment variable `NODE_ENV` and database name ``DB_NAME` here if you like.\nFor a local MongoDB installation the string looks like the following (no authentication needed):\n\n```bash\nDB_URI=mongodb://127.0.0.1:27017\n```\n\nThen build and start the server locally with the following command:\n\n```bash\nnpm deploy\n```\n\nIf you want a development server with HMR use:\n\n```bash\nnpm run dev\n```\n\n---\n\nCopyright (c) 2023 MisterRooster ([github.com/MisterRooster](https://github.com/MisterRooster)).
