It can also be used as an LPC bus sniffer. I covered everything about the LPC bus for reading POST codes in the video above.\n\nThank you for considering [supporting my work!](#you-can-support-my-work)\n\n#### Background\n\nI usually use old or junk parts on my projects to reduce electronic waste and support the SDGs. I was working on a project to reuse an x86-based firewall that I came across in an online auction. And I found myself reading BIOS post-codes. I thought it would be a good opportunity to talk about how the LPC bus and I/O cycles work by making a BIOS POST code reader project. So, here we are.\n\n### Features / Fixes\n\n- LPC bus sniffer\n- POST code output to USB CDC\n- POST code output to the LEDs\n- Filter LPC I/0 frame with start, cycle/dir and address\n- Abort frame support\n- Defining pin bases and counts (Refactoring)\n- Disabling pull-ups and pull-downs\n\n### Compilation\n\n1. Clone the repo as shown below, or [download latest release](https://github.com/MrGreensWorkshop/RasPiPicoSDK-PicoBiosPostCodeReader/releases/latest).\n\n    ```shell\n    git clone https://github.com/MrGreensWorkshop/RasPiPicoSDK-PicoBiosPostCodeReader.git\n    ```\n1. Please make sure you are using the [Pico SDK v1.5.0](https://github.com/raspberrypi/pico-sdk/releases/tag/1.5.0) or later because some of the implementations are necessary.\n1. Open the project in VS Code because it adds SDK to the environment string. (Check the [.vscode/settings.json](https://github.com/MrGreensWorkshop/RasPiPicoSDK-PicoBiosPostCodeReader/blob/main/.vscode/settings.json) file for details.)\n    - Or add PICO_SDK_PATH to your environment string. \n1. Compile using build.sh \n    ```shell\n    chmod +x build.sh\n    ./build.sh\n    ```\n    - Or run\n    ```shell\n    cmake -B build -S . \u0026\u0026 make -j4 -C build\n    ```\n    \n### Running\n\n1. Make sure you watch the video at the top of the page.\n2. Build the circuit below and connect it to the LPC bus on the target PC.\n\n    :rotating_light: Caution: If you short circuit or damage the LPC bus, you may end up with a non-bootable PC. Because earlier PC BIOS were connected to the LPC bus. TPM and Super I/O devices (keyboard, mouse, serial or parallel port, floppy, fans, LEDs, and other devices) connected to the LPC bus will also fail.\n\"Do it at your own risk.\"\n\n\u003cimg src=\"/docs/PicoBiosPostCodeReaderCircuitDiagram.jpg\" height=\"500\" alt=\"BIOS POST Code Reader circuit\"\u003e\n\n3. Get the binary\n    - You can compile the project and get the binary as explained above.\n    - Or you can use precompiled binary files from the [latest release](https://github.com/MrGreensWorkshop/RasPiPicoSDK-PicoBiosPostCodeReader/releases/latest), download the \"binary_{tag}.zip\" and unzip.\n1. Put the Raspberry Pi Pico into bootloader mode by pushing the bootsel button while plugging it into your computer.\n1. Copy the `build/PicoBiosPostCodeReader.uf2` file to the Raspberry Pi Pico either by dragging and dropping or using the `cp` command as shown below.\n\n    | Linux | macOS |\n    | :---- | ----- |\n    | `cp build/PicoBiosPostCodeReader.uf2 /media/\u003cuser\u003e/RPI-RP2` | `cp build/PicoBiosPostCodeReader.uf2 /Volumes/RPI-RP2` |\n\n1.
