(all regular use)\n- *Text*: For regular body text. (all regular use)\n- *Head*: For header and call-out text. (all regular use)\n- *Note*: For scripted and annotated text only. (exceptional and very spare use only)\n- *Code*: For mono-spaced and source-code text only. (exceptional and very spare use only)\n- *Deco*: For stand-alone quotes and decorative text only. (exceptional and very spare use only)\n\nSolution\n--------\n\nAs most commercial fonts cannot be used unrestricted (especially when\nit comes to embedding the font and wide spreading the results), Open\nSource licensed fonts are used. The [TypoPRO](http://typopro.org/)\nproject provides an extensive and hand-collected set of those fonts.\nInspired by TypoPRO, we have chosen 24 individual fonts to cover the\nabove six major use cases and prepared the fonts for the above four\nusage contexts. As a result, msg Edge/Text/Head technically consists of\n  6 weights, but optically consists of just 4 weights. The second\n  reason for this special mapping is that the original (and now unused)\n  ExtraLight weight of Source Sans Pro is nearly unreadable on beamer\n  presentations and the original (and now also unused) Black weight of\n  Source Sans Pro is nearly unreadable at small sizes.\n\n- The \"msg Note\" font family actually uses the font family Kalam twice:\n  once for the regular style and once again for the italic style. The\n  reason is that there is no suitable script font which includes both\n  regular and italic style as the regular style of a script font usually\n  is already \"italic\" or oblique.\n\n- The \"msg Note\", \"msg Code\" and \"msg Deco\" fonts were manually resized\n  (through manipulation of the TTF head/unitsPerEm setting) to fix the\n  x-height of msg Edge/Text/Head.\n\n- The \"msg Code\" font was manually compressed (through manipulation of\n  the TTF hmtx/mtx/weight settings) to optically better fit \"msg Text\".\n\n- The above mapping results in exactly four fonts per font family to ensure\n  the resulting fonts can be easily used even in the Microsoft Office\n  products where under Windows one can only choose the font family\n  and then just optionally enable bold weight and/or italic style.\n\nResults\n-------\n\n- Stage 1:\u003cbr/\u003e\n  Here we downloaded the individual source font files.\n\n    - `msg-Fonts-1-SRC/*`:\u003cbr/\u003e\n      The downloaded font files.\n\n    - `msg-Fonts-1-SRC-Downloads.txt`:\u003cbr/\u003e\n      The download URLs.\n\n- Stage 2:\n  Here we converted and patched the fonts according to the above preparation.\n\n    - `msg-Fonts-2-GEN/*`:\u003cbr/\u003e\n      The patch files for changing the font files in batch.\n\n    - `msg-Fonts-2-GEN-Conversion.sh`:\u003cbr/\u003e\n      The batch script for the conversion/preparation procedure.\n\n- Stage 3:\n  Here we provide the resulting fonts for Desktop Publishing (DTP) with\n  the two usage contexts *Adobe Creative Suite* products (Photoshop,\n  Illustrator, InDesign) and *Micosoft Office* products (PowerPoint,\n  Word).\n\n    - `msg-Fonts-3-DTP/*`:\u003cbr/\u003e\n      The individual resulting font files.\n\n    - `msg-Fonts-3-DTP-Windows-System-Install.bat`,\u003cbr/\u003e\n      `msg-Fonts-3-DTP-Windows-System-Uninstall.bat`,\u003cbr/\u003e\n      `msg-Fonts-3-DTP-Windows-User-Install.bat`,\u003cbr/\u003e\n      `msg-Fonts-3-DTP-Windows-User-Uninstall.bat`,\u003cbr/\u003e\n      `msg-Fonts-3-DTP-Windows-Util.ps1`:\u003cbr/\u003e\n      The batch scripts to install/uninstall the DTP fonts under\n      Windows, either locally for the current user or globally for the\n      system (required administrator privileges).\n\n    - `msg-Fonts-3-DTP-macOS-System-Install.bat`,\u003cbr/\u003e\n      `msg-Fonts-3-DTP-macOS-System-Uninstall.bat`,\u003cbr/\u003e\n      `msg-Fonts-3-DTP-macOS-User-Install.bat`,\u003cbr/\u003e\n      `msg-Fonts-3-DTP-macOS-User-Uninstall.bat`:\u003cbr/\u003e\n      The batch scripts to install/uninstall the DTP fonts under\n      macOS, either locally for the current user or globally for the\n      system (required administrator privileges).\n\n    - `msg-Fonts-3-DTP-Specimen-1-refer.pptx`:\u003cbr/\u003e\n      The font specimen in PowerPoint format, referencing installed fonts.\n\n    - `msg-Fonts-3-DTP-Specimen-2-embed.pptx`:\u003cbr/\u003e\n      The font specimen in PowerPoint format, embedding the fonts.\n\n    - `msg-Fonts-3-DTP-Specimen-3-export.pdf`:\u003cbr/\u003e\n      The font specimen in exported PDF format.\n\n- Stage 4:\n  Here we provide the resulting fonts for the Web and the\n  two usage contexts *HTML5 Single-Page-Applications* (SPA) and *Web-Sites*.\n\n    - `msg-Fonts-4-WEB`:\u003cbr/\u003e\n      The individual resulting font files.\n\n    - `msg-Fonts-4-WEB-Specimen-1-refer.html`:\u003cbr/\u003e\n      The font specimen in HTML format, referencing local fonts.\n\n    - `msg-Fonts-4-WEB-Specimen-2-embed.html`:\u003cbr/\u003e\n      The font specimen in HTML format, embedding the fonts.\n\n    - `msg-Fonts-4-WEB-Specimen-3-export.pdf`:\u003cbr/\u003e\n      The font specimen in exported PDF format.\n\nAuthor\n------\n\nDr. Ralf S.
