This addon has been tested using\n[VRoid's sample avatars](https://vroid.pixiv.help/hc/en-us/articles/4402394424089). If you're using an older version of\nBlender (2.x or 3.x), use [version 0.1.1](https://github.com/nanoskript/vrm-rigify/releases/tag/v0.1.1) of this addon.\n\n## Installation\n\n1. Download `vrm_rigify.zip` from the [releases page](https://github.com/Nanoskript/vrm-rigify/releases/latest).\n2. Install [VRM Add-on for Blender](https://vrm-addon-for-blender.info/en/) if it is not already installed.\n3. Open Blender and go to `Edit` \u003e `Preferences` \u003e `Add-ons`:\n\n   \u003cimg src=\"docs/install.png\" width=\"384px\"\u003e\n\n4. Click on `Install...` and select `vrm_rigify.zip`.\n5. Check the box next to the addon to enable it:\n\n   \u003cimg src=\"docs/enable.png\" width=\"256px\"\u003e\n\n6. Ensure the addons `Import-Export: VRM format` and `Rigging: Rigify` are also enabled.\n7. In the same `Blender Preferences` window, go to `Interface`.\n8. Check the box labelled `Developer Extras`. This is necessary to show the addon's commands in Blender's operator\n   search menu:\n\n   \u003cimg src=\"docs/developer.png\" width=\"384px\"\u003e\n\n## Usage\n\n### Generating the Rigify armature\n\n1. Import a VRM model by going to `File` \u003e `Import` \u003e `VRM`:\n\n   \u003cimg src=\"docs/import.png\" width=\"384px\"\u003e\n\n2. Select the imported armature object in the outliner:\n\n   \u003cimg src=\"docs/select_armature.png\" width=\"384px\"\u003e\n\n3. Go to `Edit` \u003e `Operator Search...` or press `F3`:\n\n   \u003cimg src=\"docs/operator_search.png\" width=\"256px\"\u003e\n\n4. Search for `Generate Rigify armature for VRM model` and press `Enter`:\n\n   \u003cimg src=\"docs/generate_rig.png\" width=\"384px\"\u003e\n\n5. The Rigify armature has now been generated! It will appear as `Armature.rig` in the outliner:\n\n   \u003cimg src=\"docs/new_outliner.png\" width=\"384px\"\u003e\n\n   Note that location of `Armature.rig` and `Armature.metarig` in the outliner may differ depending on the last selected\n   collection.\n\n### Parenting the meshes to the armature\n\n1. Expand the (now hidden) imported armature object and select the meshes inside it:\n\n   \u003cimg src=\"docs/select_meshes.png\" width=\"384px\"\u003e\n\n2. While the meshes are selected, select the generated `Armature.rig` Rigify armature.\n3. Right click and select `Parent` \u003e `Armature Deform`:\n\n   \u003cimg src=\"docs/parent_meshes.png\" width=\"384px\"\u003e\n\n4. The meshes should now be parented to the new armature. Expand the contents of the\n   new armature object in the outliner:\n\n   \u003cimg src=\"docs/meshes_under_rig.png\" width=\"384px\"\u003e\n\n5. For each mesh, under their `Modifiers`, move any armature modifiers to the top of\n   the modifier list, before all other modifiers:\n\n   \u003cimg src=\"docs/mesh_modifiers.png\" width=\"384px\"\u003e\n\n   You do not have to do this if there are no other modifiers present.\n\n6. You can now pose the model by entering `Pose Mode`:\n\n   \u003cimg src=\"docs/pose.png\" width=\"256px\"\u003e\n\n7. (Optional) Remove any objects that are no longer needed:\n\n   \u003cimg src=\"docs/delete.png\" width=\"384px\"\u003e\n\n## License\n\nThis addon is licensed under the MIT license.
