The latest documentation, as well\nas documentation for previous versions, can be viewed at\n[the DTC website](https://dtcenter.org/community-code/common-community-physics-package-ccpp/documentation).\n\n## Notes to Developers\nThe documentation is generated with Sphinx, using the reStructuredText (*.rst*) files in the \n*CCPPtechnical/source* directory.  Output can be generated in HTML or PDF formats.\n\n## Prerequisites\n\nIn order to create the technical documentation as described below, Sphinx and its \nextension sphinxcontrib-bibtex need to be installed on the system. If PDF output\nis required, TeX/LaTeX must also be installed.\n\nSphinx can be installed in various ways (see\n[https://www.sphinx-doc.org/en/master/usage/installation.html]([https://www.sphinx-doc.org/en/master/usage/installation.html])),\nfor example using Anaconda:\n```\nconda install sphinx\nconda install -c conda-forge sphinxcontrib-bibtex\n```\n\nComprehensive TeX/LaTeX distributions are provided for Windows, macOS and Linux.\nFor more information see [https://www.latex-project.org/get/](https://www.latex-project.org/get/).\n\n## Creating the technical documentation\n\nTo generate the technical documentation:\n\n1. Clone the repository.\n```\ngit clone https://github.com/NCAR/ccpp-doc.git\n```\n2. Build the HTML document.\n```\ncd ccpp-doc/CCPPtechnical\nmake html\n```\nThis will generate HTML files in *./build/html*.\n3.
