The papers will cover\nboth theoretical foundations, applications as well as empirical studies.\n\nThe seminar course is open for Master students.\n\nImportant dates:\n\n- Kickoff meeting: 23-10-2023 Monday, 15:00 - 16:00\n- Registration deadline: 30-10-2023\n- Acceptance notification: 02-11-2023\n- Topic selection: 24-11-2023\n- Paper assignment: 01-12-2023\n- Practice presentations: 08-01-2024 -- 31-01-2024\n- Final presentations: 12-02-2024 -- 29-03-2024\n\nNote: If you have any questions about the seminar, feel free to drop an email to\none of the instructors.\n\n## Course work\n\nAs a student, you are expected to read and present one research paper in one of the topics of human-centric\nmachine learning and ask questions during the presentation of a different paper in the same topic by another\nstudent. There are various topics available for you to choose from; you can find more information in the \"Available Topics\" \nsection below. To help with your presentation, you will do a practice presentation in front of the instructions, where they\nwill give you feedback.\n\nThe presentations will be scheduled on 3-4 days during the Winter semester. As a student, you are expected to attend all \nthe presentations and actively engage in discussions.\n\n## Available topics\n \nA list of available topics and papers is available\n [here](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1bPQp6jWol-uM7C52_fhX2RIMBCPO9IU7pfKUluFQPMs/edit?usp=sharing).\n\n## Prerequisites\n\nYou are expected to be familiar with the fundamentals of Machine Learning.
