Humfrey \u003cnjh@aelius.com\u003e\n\n\ndvbshout takes an MPEG transport stream from a DVB card, \nextracts audio channels from stream, and sends the audio to\nan Icecast/Shoutcast server and/or a RTP multicast packet stream.\n\nIt has only been tested with DVB-S and DVB-T, but should also \nwork with DVB-C.\n\nThe HTTP streams can be played back in most MPEG Audio players \n(eg iTunes, WinAmp etc). The multicast streams have been tested \nwith QuickTime and VLC, however notably, they don't seem to playback \ncorrectly in Real Player.\n\nFor the latest version of dvbshout, please see:\n\u003chttp://www.aelius.com/njh/dvbshout/\u003e\n\nIt is released under the GPL licence, see COPYING for details.\n\n\n\nConfiguration\n=============\n\ndvbshout is configured using a single configuration file. \nA script called 'scan2dvbshout.pl' is provided to convert \na channels.conf file (as created by the 'scan' DVB utility) to a \nskeleton dvbshout.conf. An example configuration file is also included.\n\nThe [server] section of the configuration file contains the Icecast/Shoutcast \nserver settings. The [tuning] section contains the settings for tuning in the\nDVB device.
