This repository is a journey in continuous integration and\ncontainers through 4 releases:\n\n- [Release 1.0.0](https://github.com/nsmith5/road-to-kubernetes/tree/1.0.0) is\na basic \"SSH to prod and pull updates\" type situations. Everything is manual and\nhard to reproduce.\n- [Release 2.0.0](https://github.com/nsmith5/road-to-kubernetes/tree/2.0.0) is\nthe start of automation and containers. We use docker-compose to make our dev\nenvironment reproducable and use a CI pipeline to produce containers for all\ncommits on `main`.\n- [Release 3.0.0](https://github.com/nsmith5/road-to-kubernetes/tree/3.0.0) scales\nout this setup by running stateless web application in a serverless container\nservice (Googles Cloud Run) and moves databases to managed cloud services\n(hosted Google Redis instance here). We control everything with Terraform.\n- [Release 4.0.0](https://github.com/nsmith5/road-to-kubernetes/tree/4.0.0) breaks\nout of cloud vendor lock-in and ships the project as a Helm chart. We continue\nto use Terraform to deploy the production cluster, but the application can\nrun on any cluster.\n\nNavigate to each tag to learn more!\n\n\u003e Made with ❤️  in Vancouver, CA.\n","project_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fnsmith5%2Froad-to-kubernetes","html_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/projects/github.com%2Fnsmith5%2Froad-to-kubernetes","lists_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fnsmith5%2Froad-to-kubernetes/lists"}
