Lean Storytelling\n\n**Lean storytelling**: pitch and share your business or product in one minute\n\n[![License: CC BY-SA 4.0](https://img.shields.io/badge/License-CC%20BY--SA%204.0-lightgrey.svg)](http://creativecommons.org/licenses/by-sa/4.0/)\n\nWhat Lean Storytelling is:\n\n* Technique to tell stories easily, using best practices, in order to be understood by your audience\n\nMore:\n\n* It is a basic set of recipes to help shape a story\n* It is quite easy to read and understand, but difficult to master: practice a lot\n* Fit for a businesses, products and features development (NOT to be a succesful Hollywood screenwriter or awarded novelist)\n* Usable from early stage to delivery phases: empathy, problem discovery, ideation, specs, development, test, deployment, communication, sales, advertising, explainer videos, documentation\n* Keep everyone in sync and aligned across different teams, remove some of the natural friction and misunderstading\n* People will understand the \"why\", the goal, the guiding light, the north star of you story\n* Inspired by Lean Canvas, Monomyth, and The Golden Circle\n* Roots in Agile, Lean Startup, Design Thinking, UX research, entrepreneurship\n* Very simple and humble, voluntarily minimalistic by design, using the systemic approach\n\n# Overview of the playbook\n\n* Tell a story, using the base ingredients\n* If you want/need to detail, use the options\n* Try, learn, get feedback, remix, change, and adapt to your audience, always \u0026 continuously\n* If you reduce your story to the bare minimum, just a few words, you might land on your Unique Value Proposition (UVP)\n* If you want to seriously learn strong story telling techniques, read the right litterature\n* This story telling technique differentiates: it is lean and agile, not generic, more dedicated to businesses\n\n## Basic story\n\nThese are the three building blocks, the foundations of a good story:\n\n* **Target**: the user or the buyer, the hero of the journey/adventure, the one who will unergo the biggest changes\n* **Problem**: the target's problem or antagonism\n* **Solution**: your solution, but don't say too much about it\n\n## Detailed story\n\nAdd the necessary details, to re-inforce the story:\n\n* Target\n * **Empathy**: what the target sees, feels, hears, says \n* Problem\n * **Consequences**: the impact of the problem on the target's daily life\n* Solution\n * **Benefits**: the benefits that your solution offers\n\n## Full story\n\nAdd a contextual start, and an inspirationnal end:\n\n* **Context**: in what landscape the target evolves\n* Target\n * Empathy\n* Problem\n * Consequences\n* Solution\n * Benefits\n* **Why**: the main motivator behind the story\n\n## Extension pack\n\nAdd any item, wherever you feel:\n* Challenge of the audience, a open question\n* Quote, in order to validate the pain point or the benefits\n* Alternatives, unsatisfying solutions to the hero's problem\n* Competition to the solution, but yours is better\n* Unfair advantage of your solution\n* Warnings\n* Self-benefits on your business/product\n* Stages in AARRR\n* Call To Action\n* A failure, a failed attempt before the solution is found\n\n## Summary\n\nIn a simple tables, this gives:\n\n| Core items | Detail items | Complete story |\n|:--:|:--|:--|\n| | | **Context**: where and when, the surroundings of the hero| | \n| **Target**, the hero, who it is about |\n| | **Empathy**, what the hero sees and feels |\n| **Problem** the hero faces, that slows down (NOT the absence of YOUR solution) | |\n| | **Consequences** of the problem |\n| **Solution**, what you offer, and how |  |\n| | **Benefits**, the advantages your solution delivers |\n| | | **Why**, he guiding light, your internal compass | |\n\n\n# Q\u0026A, FAQ\n\n## What is Lean Storytelling (\"TopSol Playbook\")?\n\nLean
