As a result, there are many \u003ca href=\"https://www.airbnb.com/\"\u003eAirbnb listings\u003c/a\u003e to meet the high demand for temporary lodging for anywhere between a few nights to many months.\n\n\u003ch3\u003eThe aim of this project is to analyse the data✨\u003c/h3\u003e\nMy analysis will be focused on the following questions:\n\u003col\u003e\n  \u003cli\u003eWhat is the average price of an Airbnb listing per night in NYC?\u003c/li\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\n  \u003cli\u003eCompare the average price of an Airbnb listing, to the private rental market per month\u003c/li\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\n  \u003cli\u003eHow many adverts are for private rooms?\u003c/li\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\n  \u003cli\u003eCompare Airbnb listing prices across the five NYC boroughs\u003c/li\u003e\n\u003c/ol\u003e\n\n_________________________________________________________________________________\n\u003cp\u003eWith my analysis, I was able to gain insight of the data; the questions above were answered!\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003ch3\u003eHere are my results✨\u003c/h3\u003e\n\u003col\u003e\n  \u003cli\u003eThe average price per night for an Airbnb listing in NYC is $141.82. I was able to do that by filtering the free listing \u003cbr\u003e(that is by removing the ones that had $0) and calculating the average of the remaining ones in the column.\u003c/li\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\n  \u003cli\u003eI was able to compare the monthly costs of airbnb listing which was: $4313.61; while in the private market one would pay $3,100.00 according to \u003ca href=\"https://www.zumper.com/\"\u003eZumper\u003c/a\u003e (as at 2019)\u003c/li\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\n  \u003cli\u003eThe listing for airbnb privates rooms were about 45% of the total listing; which was about 11,356 listing\u003c/li\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\n  \u003cli\u003eI was able to make use of \"Manhattan, Midtown\", \"Brooklyn, Clinton Hill\", \"Manhattan, Murray Hill\", \"Manhattan, Hell's Kitchen\" and \"Manhattan, Chinatown\" to compare the price listing across boroughs. \n    \u003cbr\u003e\u003cbr\u003e\n    \u003cimg src=\"final_result.png\" style=\"height:30rem;\"/\u003e\n    \u003cbr\u003eThis shows the price range of each borough and the number of people that rented the houses based on the pricing category.\u003c/li\u003e\n  \u003cbr\u003e\n  \u003cbr\u003e\n  \u003cp\u003e\u003cb\u003eNote\u003c/b\u003e: \u003cb\u003eBudget: $0-$69\u003c/b\u003e, \u003cb\u003eAverage: $70-$175\u003c/b\u003e,  \u003cb\u003eExpensive:\t$176-$350\u003c/b\u003e,  \u003cb\u003eExtravagant:\t\u003e $350\u003c/b\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003c/ol\u003e\n","project_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Foghene-ella%2Fairbnb_market","html_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/projects/github.com%2Foghene-ella%2Fairbnb_market","lists_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Foghene-ella%2Fairbnb_market/lists"}
