Permite usar un computador \"headless\": sin un display y sin interfaz gráfica, o desde otro lugar.\n\nEjemplos:\n* Bash (Unix, Linux, OSX Terminal)\n* Cmd.exe (Windows)\n* MS-DOS\n\nUn comando generalmente tiene la estructura de:\n```\n$ \u003ccomando\u003e \u003cparámetros\u003e\n```\n### ping\nUn \"packet\" es un pedazo muy pequeño de información. Se puede usar el comando 'ping' para probar la conectividad de una red. El comando envia un packet a otro lugar, y mide el tiempo que se demora en devolver.\n```\n$ ping www.google.com\n```\n### IP\nCada dispositivo en la red tiene una dirección, asignado por el router (en una red local), o por DNS (red global).\n\nPara encontrar el IP en la red local:\nLinux/OSX:\n```\n$ ifconfig\n```\nWindows:\n```\n$ ipconfig  \n```\nla informacion despues de \"inet\" es el IPv4. e.g. 192.168.0.8\nSe puede usar esa informacion para enviar un packet en la red local:\n```\n$ ping \u003cIPv4\u003e\n```\ne.g.\n```\n$ ping 192.168.0.8\n```\nCualquier computador puede ser un servidor (lo que está escuchando para conexiones), y puede ser un cliente (lo que inicia una conexión)\n\n### Ports\nEl computador puede tener various procesos a la vez. En compu 1:\n```\n$ nc -l 5000\n```\nEn compu 2:\n```\n$ nc \u003cIP de compu 1\u003e 5000\n```\ne.g.\n```\n$ nc 192.168.0.8\n```\n### Protocolos\nVarios protocolos usan TCP como base para intercambiar información:\n* HTTP - browse web pages\n* HTTPS - browse web pages with encryption\n* SMTP - send and receive emails\n* IMAP, POP3 - load emails from an inbox\n* IRC - chat\n* FTP - file transfer\n* SSH - remote shell over an encrypted connection\n* SSL - low-level secure data transfer (used by HTTPS)\n\n### HTTP\nOtro protocolo.
