It includes a range of parameters selected to allow control of the qualities of the excitation/pluck, string behavior and sympathetic resonance. It can produce some beautiful evolving drones, which can vary from very synthetic to quite natural.\n\nAlthough it was originally developed as a Max4Live device using faustgen~, this version is entirely written in FAUST. Some aspects of the model still sound a little better in the Max4Live version and the FAUST version is missing convolution of the Body IR which is fundamental to the realism of the model. \n\nThis has been an ongoing hobby project since 2013.\n\n![Instrument](Instrument.png)\n\n**Getting started:**\n\nCompile the FAUST .dsp file to your favorite platform/architecture, or [try it on the web](https://olilarkin.github.io/Tambura/).\n\nhttps://olilarkin.github.io/Tambura/\n\n![BlockDiagram](BlockDiagram.png)\n\n**Audio Examples**\n\nAudio Examples from the Max4Live version can be found here:\n\nhttps://soundcloud.com/olilarkin/sets/tambura-model\n\n**References:**\n\n* https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tanpura\n* http://www.ee.columbia.edu/~marios/projects/risset_beats/risset_beats.html\n* http://csoundjournal.com/issue17/bain_risset_arpeggio.html\n* http://users.spa.aalto.fi/vpv/publications/cmj98.pdf\n* https://ccrma.stanford.edu/~rmichon/publications/doc/DAFx11-Nonl-Allpass.pdf\n\n**Credits:**\n\nWritten by Oliver Larkin  \nThanks to Yann Orlarey, JOS.\n\nLicense: GPL  \nwww.olilarkin.co.uk\n","project_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Folilarkin%2Ftambura","html_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/projects/github.com%2Folilarkin%2Ftambura","lists_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Folilarkin%2Ftambura/lists"}
