Change things from this point on\n\n===============================\nOpenStack Glance Specifications\n===============================\n\nThis git repository is used to hold approved design specifications for additions\nto the Glance project. Reviews of the specs are done in gerrit, using a\nsimilar workflow to how we review and merge changes to the code itself.\n\nThe general layout of this repository is::\n\n  specs/\u003crelease\u003e/\n\nYou can find an example spec in `specs/template.rst`.\n\nBeginning with the Mitaka release, there is a further subdivision into::\n\n  specs/\u003crelease\u003e/approved\n  specs/\u003crelease\u003e/implemented\n\nA specification is proposed for a given release by adding it to the\n`specs/\u003crelease\u003e/approved` directory and posting it for review.  The\nimplementation status of a blueprint for a given release can be found by\nlooking at the blueprint in launchpad.  Not all approved blueprints will get\nfully implemented.\n\nWhen a feature has been completed, its specification will be moved to the\n'implemented' directory for the release in which it was implemented.\n\nSpecifications have to be re-proposed for every release.  The review may be\nquick, but even if something was previously approved, it should be re-reviewed\nto make sure it still makes sense as written.\n\nPrior to the Juno development cycle, this repository was not used for spec\nreviews.  Reviews prior to Juno were completed entirely through Launchpad\nblueprints::\n\n  https://blueprints.launchpad.net/glance\n\nPlease note, Launchpad blueprints are still used for tracking the\ncurrent status of blueprints.
