The\nconfiguration file for the weblog is always in the user htdocs directory\n(typically ~user/htdocs), and all of the archive pages and other indexes\nare also found there (you can have the weblog homepage be somewhere else,\nbut this is not well tested.)   The annotations(7) manpage describes the\nvarious files and directories that annotations uses.\n\n\nREQUIREMENTS\n\n    1)\tA modern Unix system (I've built it on Mastodon Linux,\n\twhich is not exactly the most modern system, so more\n\trecent systems should be okay.)\n    2)\tA C compiler\n    3)  A web server that supports Basic authentication and\n        cgi scripts (I use a lightly hacked version of thttpd)\n    4)  If you wish to publish articles via xml (using the Atom\n\tpublishing format, which is the _only_ format I found\n\tdocumented), you need to install the expat and scew\n\tlibraries.\n\nAnnotations is free software;  it is released under a BSD-style license\nthat allows you to do as you wish with it as long as you don't attempt\nto claim it as your own work.\n\nI include a copy of Steven Koresh's uncgi program, which is also released\nunder a BSD-style license.
