Once complete, it will provide:\n\n- Code generation for efficient, type-safe, compile-time checked HTTP APIs (server, client and CLI) in Rust.\n- Support for processing, validating and hosting OpenAPI spec.\n- Customization for spec and code generation.\n\nIt's currently under active development and may not be ready for production use just yet.\n\nYou may be interested in:\n\n- [Examples and Usage](https://paperclip-rs.github.io/paperclip).\n- [Features being worked on](https://github.com/paperclip-rs/paperclip/projects).\n- [API documentation](https://paperclip-rs.github.io/paperclip/paperclip).\n\n## Developing locally\n\n- Clone the repository along with its submodules using the following command:\n\n  ```bash\n   git clone --recurse-submodules git@github.com:paperclip-rs/paperclip.git\n   ```\n\n- Make sure you have [`rustup`](https://rustup.rs/) installed.\n- Then move to repository:\n\n  ```bash\n  cd paperclip\n  ```\n\n- Run the setup environment routine\n\n  ```bash\n  make prepare\n  ```\n\n- Build the project and run tests:\n\n  ```bash\n  make\n  ```\n\n## Contributing\n\nThis project welcomes all kinds of contributions. We need to be able to **see** the generated code somehow to identify names, fields, supported methods, etc. With proc macros, you sorta have to guess.\n\nThis doesn't mean you can't generate APIs in compile-time. The only difference is that you'll be using [build scripts](https://paperclip-rs.github.io/paperclip/build-script.html) instead and `include!` the relevant code. That said, [we're using proc-macros](./macros) for other things.\n\n\u003e The error thrown at compile-time doesn't look like it's very useful. Isn't there a better way to do this?\n\nNone that I can think of, sadly.\n\n**New ideas are here needed.**\n","project_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fpaperclip-rs%2Fpaperclip","html_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/projects/github.com%2Fpaperclip-rs%2Fpaperclip","lists_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fpaperclip-rs%2Fpaperclip/lists"}
