I use it to copy\nmy notes into a git repository, giving me backups and version history. Unlike\nother solutions listed below the sync is strictly one way; bearbag does not\nmodify notes or write to the Bear database.\n\n## Installing\n\nUsing [Homebrew](http://brew.sh/):\n\n```\nbrew install paulhammond/tap/bearbag\n```\n\n## Using\n\nExport your bear notes to `path/to/directory`:\n\n```\nbearbag path/to/directory\n```\n\nGet help:\n\n```\nbearbag --help\n```\n\n## Alternatives\n\n * [Bear-Markdown-Export](https://github.com/markgrovs/Bear-Markdown-Export):\n This has a lot more options and functionality, including two way sync,\n exporting images \u0026 textbundles, and others. The two way sync scares me (which\n is why I don't use it) but if you're OK with that it enables some interesting\n use cases, such as the neat\n [Backlink Janitor](https://github.com/andymatuschak/note-link-janitor)\n * [bearc](https://github.com/hoemoon/bearc): This requires you to pick which\n tags are exported.\n\n## Other Bear CLI tools\n\n * [bearing](https://github.com/carlo/bearing): a scripting helper for Bear\n * [cub](https://github.com/a5huynh/cub-cli): command-line utility for Bear\n\n## License\n\nbearbag is released under the [MIT License](LICENSE.txt)\n\nI'm sharing this code publicly to make it easier for me to install when I get a\nnew computer, and in the hope it is useful to others. I would love to hear about\ninteresting things you do with it, but I do not commit to maintain or support\nthe code in any way.
