Egeler, M.S., GStat**\n\nThis package is a [`learnr`](https://github.com/rstudio/learnr) demo built for the [West Michigan R Users Group](https://github.com/WestMichiganRUserGroup)\nmeeting at [Big Data Ignite](http://www.bigdataignite.com/) 2017. It is meant to introduce R to a user with some background in coding but who\nhas had little to no experience with R *per se*.\n\n## Getting Started\n\nYou can install and run the tutorial from your R session. You can download R at \u003chttps://cran.r-project.org/\u003e.\n\nI recommend using an integrated development environment (IDE) to help making coding easier and streamline development of projects. Most people I know use RStudio. You can get it at \u003chttps://www.rstudio.com/products/rstudio/download/\u003e.\n\n\n### Installation\n\nThe [`devtools`](https://cran.r-project.org/web/packages/devtools/index.html) package must be installed in order to install the tutorial. `devtools` can be installed for free from CRAN by pasting the following code in the **Console** of your R session and pressing \u003ckbd\u003eEnter\u003c/kbd\u003e:\n\n    install.packages(\"devtools\")\n\nAfterwards, you can then install this package by pasting the code below into the R **Console** and pressing \u003ckbd\u003eEnter\u003c/kbd\u003e again:\n\n    devtools::install_github(\"pegeler/YARD\")\n\n### Running the Tutorial\n\nOnce the package is installed, it can be run from your machine by typing the following into your **Console** and pressing \u003ckbd\u003eEnter\u003c/kbd\u003e\n\n    learnr::run_tutorial(\"YARD\", \"YARD\")\n\nA browser will be brought up that will contain the tutorial.\n","funding_links":[],"categories":["Content"],"sub_categories":["Tutorials Guides \u0026 Courses"],"project_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fpegeler%2FYARD","html_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/projects/github.com%2Fpegeler%2FYARD","lists_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fpegeler%2FYARD/lists"}
