version](https://badge.fury.io/js/pfa.svg)](https://www.npmjs.com/package/pfa)\n\n## About\nPartial function application is way cool! Imagine having a function that you use in multiple places, but its parameters are often repeated due to the configuration not changing. You could wrap the function yourself, or you could use a library like **pfa** to partially apply arguments to the function.\n\nFor instance, the npm library [clone](https://www.npmjs.com/package/clone) takes 3 parameters: `clone(obj, isCircular, depth)` - imagine that we always use the same values for the latter 2 arguments:\n\n```javascript\nconst result = clone(myObj, false, 50);\n```\n\nIt'd be much nicer to just call `clone(myObj)`, so we could in turn do something like the following:\n\n```javascript\nconst { partialApply, _ } = require(\"pfa\");\nconst _clone = require(\"clone\");\n\nconst clone = partialApply(\n    _clone,     // The function to partially apply arguments\n    _,          // An argument we will provide later\n    false,      // An argument to always provide at the second position\n    50          // An argument to always provide at the third position\n);\n\nconst myObj = { key: \"value\" };\nconst clonedObj = clone(myObj); // equiv: clone(myObj, false, 50);\n```\n\n## Usage\n**pfa** exports 3 items:\n\n * `partialApply`: The partial application function\n * `_`: Placeholder for unknown arguments\n * `partialApplyRight`: Partial application to the right side of a function\n\nIt also exports the `partialApply` function as the default, so CommonJS and ES6 imports can both be used neatly:\n\n```javascript\nconst { partialApply, _ } = require(\"pfa\");\n```\n\n_Or:_\n\n```javascript\nimport partialApply, { _ } from \"pfa\";\n```\n\nYou can also apply to the right-hand side of a function using `partialApplyRight`, like so:\n\n```javascript\nimport { partialApplyRight } from \"pfa\";\n\nfunction myMethod(target, defaultValue) {\n    // some functionality\n}\n\nconst shorthandMethod = partialApplyRight(myMethod, {});\nshorthandMethod({ some: \"argument\" }); // calls myMethod with 2 arguments\n```\n\n**pfa** supports NodeJS 6.10 onwards.
