See:\n\nhttps://github.com/phuijse/LSST_simulations/blob/master/Example.ipynb \n\nfor a example on how to draw an ab-type RR Lyrae light curve using these templates.\n\nThe get_periods scripts were used in the paper mentioned above to compare period estimation accuracy between different methods. To run these you will need to install the https://github.com/phuijse/P4J/ library\n\nGenerating you own LSST-like templates using OpSim and CatSim\n-------------------------------------------------------------\n\nThe template files were built using the create_obj script. If you want to run the script you will need to install the LSST stack. To install the LSST stack first setup the core packages by following steps 1 and 2 (Installing from Source) at \n\nhttps://confluence.lsstcorp.org/display/SIM/Catalogs+and+MAF\n\nAfter that you will need to download the **Reference simulated survey** from \n\nhttps://www.lsst.org/scientists/simulations/opsim/opsim-survey-data \n\nDownload and extract the minion_2016 SQLite DB and point the opsimdb variable in create_obj to it.\n\nTo run the script::\n\n    cd /my_lsst_stack_dir\n    source loadLSST.bash\n    setup sims_catUtils -t sims\n    create_obj RRL\n\nFor more details please see \n\nhttp://confluence.lsstcorp.org/display/SIM/Catalog+Simulations+Documentation. \n\n\n\n\n","project_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fphuijse%2Flsst_simulations","html_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/projects/github.com%2Fphuijse%2Flsst_simulations","lists_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fphuijse%2Flsst_simulations/lists"}
