For branches with new releases, the script will bump `pkgver` and\n`sha256sums`, interactively commit, and prompt to push changes to the AUR.\n\nThe autoupdate script requires that [`jq`][jq] be installed. It also requires\n`wget` and `bash`.\n\n### Git hooks\n\nIt is recommended that you install [scripts/pre-commit](scripts/pre-commit) as\na pre-commit hook (`cp scripts/pre-commit .git/hooks`). This will automatically\nupdate `.SRCINFO` before any commits, and will abort commits if the\n`sha256sums` in `PKGBUILD` do not match the actual checksums. If this hook is\ninstalled, you simply need to edit `pkgver`, run `updpkgsums` to update the\nchecksums, and commit `PKGBUILD`.\n\nIt is also recommended that you install [scripts/pre-push](scripts/pre-push).\nThis hook will prevent any pushes from branch names that do not match the\nremote name. This will help avoid confusion arising from typos by print an\nerror message when, for example, trying to push to the `pipes.sh` remote when\non the `pipes.c` branch.
