Depending on your OS your\nMinecraft folder is different:\n\n| OS      | Path                                      |\n| ------- | ----------------------------------------- |\n| Linux   | `~/.minecraft`                            |\n| macOS   | `~/Library/Application Support/minecraft` |\n| Windows | `%APPDATA%\\.minecraft`                    |\n\n## Updating\n\nWe planned an updater and now it is technically easily possible, but...we won't\ndo it! There are reasons, you can find them [here](UPDATER.md). For pure\nupdating you can just put the new folder there and change your profile in the\nlauncher.\n\n## Extending CXClient\n\nThere are currently two ways of extending CXClient in development: The iAPI and\nthe eAPI.\n\nThe iAPI is for traditional \"addons\"/\"plugins\", JARs from the subdirectory\n`cxclient_addons` of the Minecraft directory are automatically loaded on\nstartup. In a scheme that is not stable yet, those addons are then initialized\nso they can hook themselves into the core of CXClient.\n\nThe eAPI rather is for extending CXClient externally, i.e. from an external\nprogram written in any programming language doing anything. It is even less done\nthan the iAPI, but progress is quite quick right now.
