If you wish to volunteer to help with PyCon UK\n2016, we welcome you! Please feel free to join the conference\norganiser [mailing list](https://mail.python.org/mailman/listinfo/pyconuk-adm).\n\nThe PyCon UK Society is the formal organisation behind the UK Python\ncommunity.  The Society exists to promote the Python language in the\nUK, particularly by organising the [PyCon UK](http://pyconuk.org/)\nconference and associated events, and the Society is legally and\nfinancially responsible for those events.\n\nEvery year the Society holds an Annual General Meeting, to elect its\nofficers and plan events for the coming year.\n\nThe AGM is normally held during the PyCon UK conference, to make it\neasier for as many people as possible to attend and everyone is\nwelcome.\n\nThe committee is a only subset of the organising crew. You do not have\nto join the committee to be involved in running PyCon UK, however we\nare particularly keen to have new people join the Society committee.\n\n## The current committee\n\n * Zeth Green (Chair)\n * Mary Mooney (Treasurer)\n * Luke Stanley\n * Sarah Mount\n * Nicholas Tollervey\n * Peter Inglesby\n * Colin Moore-Hill\n * Martin Hellwig\n * Michael Foord\n\n## The last AGM\n\nThe last AGM was held on 21 September 2014 at The Innovation Centre, Coventry.\n[Minutes of the last AGM](agm_minutes/2014AGM_minutes.md) are available.\nThe [financial statement from the 2014 conference](agm_finances/2014AGM_finances.md) is also available.\n\n## The next AGM\n\nThe **next AGM** will be held on Saturday 19th September 2015 14:00\n(2pm) at [PyCon UK](http://pyconuk.org/).
