is designed to store and manage results from your own analysis code;\n - provides web and python interfaces;\n - allows users to construct science-focussed queries, including across entire merger trees,\n   without requiring any knowledge of SQL;\n\nWhen building databases, _tangos_:\n\n - manages the process of populating the database with science data, including auto-parallelising\n   your analysis;\n - can be customised to work with multiple python modules such as\n   [pynbody](http://pynbody.github.io/pynbody/) or [yt](http://yt-project.org) to\n   process raw simulation data;\n -
