The following tools aims to estimate a given point location from an image. \n\n## Installation\n1. Install local packages and dependancies (from this directory):\n -  `pip install horizon/` \n - `pip install georefcam/` \n2. Test the notebooks in `demo_notebooks/`.  \n\n## Pipeline\n![](plots/pipeline_white.svg)\n\n1. Load Digital Elevation Model (DEM) from image location\n![](plots/open3d_dem.png)\n\n2. Extract 360° skyline from viewpoint\n![](plots/viewpoint_skyline.png)\n\n3. Extract skyline from image (with Depth-Anything and filters)\n![](plots/image_skyline.png)\n\n4. Compare skylines and find best alignment, this corresponds to the camera azimuth.\n![](plots/skylines_comparison.png)\n\n5. Place a virtual camera in DEM at correct azimuth and generate depth map.\n\n6. Estimate depths from images (Depth-Anything)\n\n7.
