Because of TAP's simplicity,\nit can function as a *lingua franca* for testing.\nWhen every testing tool can create TAP,\na team can get a holistic view of their system.\nPython did not have a bridge from `unittest` to TAP so it was\ndifficult to integrate a Python test suite into a larger TAP ecosystem.\n\ntappy is Python's bridge to TAP.\n\n![TAP streaming demo][stream]\n\nGoals\n-----\n\n1.  Provide [TAP Producers][produce] which translate Python's `unittest` into\n    TAP.\n2.  Provide a [TAP Consumer][consume] which reads TAP and provides a\n    programmatic API in Python or generates summary results.\n3.
