For now, the fodler *benchmark-data* is managed by Git, although it can be generated from the *benchmarks* repo if needed. This is a convenience method.\n\nIn this repository the following additional resources are defined:\n* A common header used in every single page.\n* A common navigation menu (on the top of each page).\n* A common footer.\n* The main page.\n* **QuantumOptics.jl** code snippets which are shown in the main page.\n* Citation page.\n* Benchmark page presenting the data and source-code obtained from **QuantumOptics.jl-benchmarks**\n\n[Jekyll](https://jekyllrb.com) is used to generate the (static) website from all different parts.\n\nThe website itself uses the following technologies:\n\nJavaScript libraries:\n* **jquery.js**\n* **Require.js**\n* **Bootstrap.js** for the layout.\n* **MathJax.js** for representing latex formulas.\n* **highlight.js** to dynamically highlight the source code.\n* **Chart.js** for the interactive benchmark plots.\n\nCSS:\n* **Bootstrap.css**\n* **font-awesome**\n* **Lato|Ubuntu+Mono**\n\n\nA basic principle is that any code that is shown should be run and tested automatically before it is included.\n\n\n## Directory layout\n\nIt is recommended to place all resources into the same directory, i.e.:\n\n    |\n    |--\u003e ./QuantumOptics.jl\n    |--\u003e ./QuantumOptics.jl-examples\n    |--\u003e ./QuantumOptics.jl-documentation\n    |--\u003e ./QuantumOptics.jl-benchmarks\n    |--\u003e ./QuantumOptics.jl-website\n\n\n## Software Requirements\n\n* [Jekyll](https://jekyllrb.com)\n* [Documenter.jl](https://juliadocs.github.io/Documenter.jl) (Can be installed with `julia\u003e Pkg.add(\"Documenter\")`)\n\n\n## Build process\n\nThe code snippets are executed by make.jl.\n\nFinally, one uses jekyll to build the website:\n    * For development run jekyll interactively: `jekyll serve`.\n    * To just create it once: `jekyll build`.
