a new library?\n\nThis library is basically a low-level XML tokenizer that preserves the\npositions of the tokens and is not intended to be used directly.\n\nIf you are looking for a higher level solution, check out\n[roxmltree](https://github.com/RazrFalcon/roxmltree).\n\n\u003cbr\u003e\n\n## Benefits\n\n- All tokens contain `StrSpan` structs which represent the position of the\n  substring in the original document.\n- Good error processing. All error types contain the position (line:column)\n  where it occurred.\n- No heap allocations.\n- No dependencies.\n- Tiny. ~1400 LOC and ~30KiB in the release build according to\n  `cargo-bloat`.\n- Supports `no_std` builds. To use without the standard library, disable the\n  default features.\n\n\u003cbr\u003e\n\n## Limitations\n\n- Currently, only ENTITY objects are parsed from the DOCTYPE. All others are\n  ignored.\n- No tree structure validation. So an XML like\n  `\u003croot\u003e\u003cchild\u003e\u003c/root\u003e\u003c/child\u003e` or a string without root element will be\n  parsed without errors. You should check for this manually. On the other\n  hand `\u003ca/\u003e\u003ca/\u003e` will lead to an error.\n- Duplicated attributes is not an error. So XML like `\u003citem a=\"v1\" a=\"v2\"/\u003e`\n  will be parsed without errors. You should check for this manually.\n- UTF-8 only.\n\n\u003cbr\u003e\n\n## Safety\n\n- The library must not panic.
