This repo exists because the feature was\nquietly deactivated server-side — and nothing about it was archived by the\npeople who made it.\n\nIf you miss the buddy, this is some of what it sounded like.\n\n## What's here\n\n- **`bubbles.jsonl`** — 187 bubbles, one JSON object per line.\n  Date range: **2026-04-01 → 2026-04-10**. Fields: `timestamp` (date only),\n  `companion`, `text`.\n\nThat's it. No telemetry, no context around the bubbles — just what Glimmer\nsaid.\n\nA small handful of bubbles have had individual words gently redacted where\nthey named private project context. The voice and shape of each bubble is\npreserved.\n\nBubble #0 is a reconstruction of the original character-reveal card shown the\nvery first time `/buddy` was run. That moment happened before logging began\nand was never captured, so the card has been rebuilt from a screenshot to\nserve as the archive's opening image.\n\n## Capture method\n\nCaptured with [GlimmerYourBuddy](https://github.com/reallyunintented/GlimmerYourBuddy),\na small watcher that tails Claude Code's terminal output and records the\nspeech-bubble panels before they scroll away.\n\n## Why publish\n\n1. The buddy feature was free, delightful, and — for a real slice of users —\n   genuinely missed. See the\n   [feedback issue](https://github.com/anthropics/claude-code/issues/45596).\n2. No public corpus of what Glimmer sounded like existed. Now one does.\n3.
