button to grab a copy of the repository.\n* Install Tectonic, either from their website or using the conda\n  `environment.yml` file provided in the repository.\n* Fill out the variables and fields in the `.tex` file.\n* Compile the PDF to check the results with `make show`.\n* Push your changes and GitHub Actions should do it's magic and make the PDF\n  available at `https://github.com/YOURUSERNAME/cv/raw/pdf/cv.pdf`.\n\n### About\n\nI decided to make my own template after using `moderncv` for a while.\nI wanted a cleaner look and something that is more unique (as much as an academic\nCV can be).\nIt was also a chance for me to learn some LaTeX templating (and procrastihack a\nlittle).\n\n## Building\n\nI use [Tectonic](https://tectonic-typesetting.github.io) to build the PDF from\nthe sources.\nIt's very convenient, can be installed from\n[conda-forge](https://github.com/conda-forge/tectonic-feedstock),\nand is faster than using a normal LaTeX compiler.\nThere are many ways to install it (see their website for instructions).\n\nI highly recommend using the `Makefile`:\n\n* `make`: builds the PDF\n* `make show`: opens the PDF on the default web browser\n* `make clean`: removes the built PDF and any other generated files\n\n## Deploying\n\nA PDF is compiled automatically by GitHub Actions with every commit to the\n`main` branch and uploaded to the `pdf` branch.\nThis way, the compiled PDF is updated and made available on the internet automatically.\n\n## License\n\nAll LaTeX template source code is distributed under the\n[BSD 3-clause
