It sits between your\napplication and the backend RAND library, where it marshals inputs to the backend and results to the\napplication. hipRAND exports an interface that doesn't require the client to change, regardless of the\nchosen backend.\n\nhipRAND supports [rocRAND](https://github.com/ROCm/rocRAND) and\n[NVIDIA CUDA cuRAND](https://developer.nvidia.com/curand).\n\n## Requirements\n\nYou must have the following installed to use hipRAND:\n\n* CMake (3.16 or later)\n* For AMD GPUs:\n  * AMD ROCm Software (5.0.0 or later)\n  * rocRAND library\n* For NVIDIA GPUs:\n  * CUDA Toolkit 11.5.1 or newer\n  * cuRAND library\n\n## Documentation\n\n\u003e [!NOTE]\n\u003e The published hipRAND documentation is available [here](https://rocm.docs.amd.com/projects/hipRAND/en/latest/) in an organized, easy-to-read format, with search and a table of contents.
