Why is this software called educational?\n  Because it was developed in Russian Moscow Aviation Institute to be a part of\n  educational process. However, FermaNext does real 2d truss calculations and\n  has many its own CAD distinctive features:\n\n  · Analysis of 2D trusses\n  · Supports all major measure units\n  · Initial displacement conditions\n  · Extremely easy model creation, no need to first define nodes and then\n    elements, nodes are produced automatically\n  · Top quality graphics rendering\n  · Full GUI including\n  · Every user action can be undoed with full history of actions\n  · Immediate switch to other measure units\n  · Easy model creation (members, loads, supports etc) in a user friendly\n    environment with many graphical features\n  · Definition of custom materials\n  · Calculation and drawing of the deformed shape of the given model\n  · Analytical view of the results of analysis, the geometry, the static model,\n    the loads etc.\n  · High quality analysis reports with all analysis results, including stress,\n    internal forces and displacements diagrams, as well as drawings of the\n    static model, its deformed shape and the axial-shear forces and moment\n    diagrams\n  .
