Use at your own risk!\n\n\nTo build the driver, open a command prompt in the base directory and type:\n\n\tmake\n\n\nIf your system is properly set up for building kernel modules (which is\nnormally the case), then everything should build without errors.\n\n\nYou can now reload the drivers using:\n\n\tsudo make load_g29\n\nor\n\n\tsudo make load_g920\n\n\ndepending on the type of wheel you have. These last commands try to unload \nall drivers for USB HID support and reload them with the new versions. If\nyou have other drivers depending on hid, these commands may not work and\nyou'll have to modify the module list or do it manually. If you're going\nto do this, remember that both your mouse and keyboard can (and probably\nwill) depend on these drivers. So you can imagine what happens if you just\nunload everything. So before you do anything, try:\n\n\tlsmod | grep hid\n\nAnd what drivers you have that directly or indirectly depend on this.\nIf you have more than hid-generic, usbhid, hid-logitech and \nhid-logitech-hidpp, add them to the rmmod commands in the Makefile.\n\n\n\nThe sources contained in this package are are slightly modified versions of:\nKLGD (https://github.com/MadCatX)\nPortions of the Linux kernel (https://git.kernel.org/cgit/linux/kernel/git/torvalds/linux.git/)\nMy experimental hid-lg4ff driver\nG920 patches submitted for Linux 4.6 (http://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-input/msg42863.html)\n\nAll sources fall under the GPL2 licence used by the Linux kernel.\n\n","project_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Frustyraptor%2Flogitech-ff-linux","html_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/projects/github.com%2Frustyraptor%2Flogitech-ff-linux","lists_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Frustyraptor%2Flogitech-ff-linux/lists"}
