The direct connection between them is often missing, leading to inefficient resource usage.  \nOur platform solves this problem by creating a unified marketplace where:\n\n- **Sellers** (factories, construction companies) can easily list their waste or surplus materials.  \n- **Buyers** can quickly find and purchase the raw materials they need at a competitive price.  \n\nIn this way, TradeCo creates an ecosystem where businesses don’t just dispose of waste—they turn it into an asset, promoting sustainability and corporate responsibility.\n\n## Key Features\n- **B2B Marketplace:** Intuitive interface for posting waste lots and searching for raw materials by category, quantity, and location.  \n- **Material Analysis with AI:** Integration with OpenAI GPT-4 for analyzing uploaded photos and technical data. The system automatically identifies material types, suggests possible reuse options, and enriches lot descriptions.  \n- **Blockchain Transparency:** The entire lifecycle of materials—from seller to buyer to recycling—is recorded on the blockchain. This ensures full transparency and allows companies to generate verifiable data for ESG reporting.  \n- **Logistics Optimization:** The architecture was designed with a future module to calculate optimal delivery routes, minimizing carbon footprint and transport costs.\n\n## Tech Stack\nThe project is built on a modern and reliable stack, designed and implemented by me as founder and backend architect:  \n- **Backend:** Java + Spring Boot (Spring Web, Spring Data, Spring Security)  \n- **Database:** PostgreSQL  \n- **Real-time Communication:** WebSocket for instant notifications and trading  \n- **File Storage:** AWS S3 (or compatible) for storing photos and documents  \n- **AI Integration:** OpenAI GPT-4 API\n\n## Architecture\nI designed the entire architecture from scratch, from the initial idea to the data model and deployment:  \n- The core of the system is a **monolithic Spring Boot application**, handling business logic, user management, lot processing, and external service integrations.  \n- **PostgreSQL** was chosen for its reliability and support for complex queries.  \n- **WebSocket** ensures platform interactivity.\n\n## Project Status\nCurrently, TradeCo **is not in active development** and is archived. The project was stopped at the stage of a well-developed concept and partial implementation (Proof of Concept).  \nThe code and architectural decisions in this repository demonstrate my skills in **backend development**, **complex system design**, and **solving real business problems**. The project serves as a portfolio piece.\n\n## Reflection\nLet’s move on to reflection. Overall, the project was really good, interesting, and the idea was solid, but unfortunately, I wasn’t able to develop it further. I assembled a team, but things didn’t come together. I had very strong motivation because it was my first major project—a backend I was writing on my favorite Spring framework. But, as always, the first pancake is a flop, and this project was no exception.\n\nDespite abandoning it, the project gave me a solid foundation. I learned how **not to do things** and how it’s better to do them. This isn’t just about improving my coding skills and technology use—though that’s important—but mainly about gaining experience as a founder. I had never had this before, and now I understand how to launch a startup: how to validate ideas, build a team, and develop a project from multiple angles.  \n\nI realized I did everything backwards: implementation first, promotion later, and I didn’t even think about validating the idea. Perhaps this is why the project was abandoned. I thought, “I’ll build the project, and it will take off. If not, I’ll just upload it to GitHub.” Interestingly, by the middle of development, I subconsciously knew the project was doomed, but I didn’t dwell on it and kept coding, running away from the fear of failure.  \n\nIn the end, I can say: **everything that happens is for the best.** Honestly, I live by this phrase: I don’t regret anything. What’s done is done. The important thing is now and what’s coming in the future. I gained invaluable experience. It was interesting to **fall on my own**. Система автоматически определяет тип материала, предлагает возможные варианты его повторного использования и обогащает описание лота.  \n- **Прозрачность на основе блокчейна:** Вся цепочка движения материалов от продавца к покупателю и далее в переработку фиксируется в блокчейне. Проект служит в качестве портфолио.\n\n## Рефлексия\nПерейдем к рефлексии. В общем, проект был на самом деле хороший, интересный, идея стоящая, но, к сожалению, мне не удалось его развить. Я собрал команду, но всё как-то не срослось. У меня была очень сильная мотивация, так как это был мой первый крупный проект — бэкенд, который я писал на своём любимом Spring. Но, как всегда бывает, первый блин комом, и этот проект не стал исключением. \n\nНесмотря на то что я его забросил, он дал мне хорошую базу. Я понял, как не надо делать, и как желательно делать. Речь не только о том, что я стал лучше писать код и использовать технологии — хотя и это важно — но прежде всего я получил опыт как основатель. До этого у меня его не было, и теперь я понимаю, как запускать стартап: как проверять идеи, как набирать команду, как развивать проект с разных сторон.\n\nЯ понял, что сделал всё наоборот: сначала реализация, потом продвижение, а о проверке идеи даже не думал. Возможно, именно это и привело к тому, что проект был заброшен. Я думал: «Напишу проект, и он взлетит. А если нет — залью на GitHub». Интересно, что уже на середине разработки я подсознательно понимал, что проект обречён, но просто не задумывался об этом и писал код, убегая от страха провала. \n\nВ итоге я могу сказать: всё, что ни делается, — к лучшему. По правде, этой фразой я живу: я ни о чём не жалею. Что было, то прошло. Главное — что сейчас и что будет в будущем. Я получил ценный опыт. Было интересно попробовать упасть самому.
