Axios Token Interceptor\n\nAn interceptor which makes it easier to work with tokens in [axios](https://github.com/mzabriskie/axios).\n\n## Usage\n\n```js\nconst tokenProvider = require('axios-token-interceptor');\n\nconst instance = axios.create({\n  baseURL: 'https://api.example.com'\n});\n\n// Configure the provider with the necessary options.\nconst options = { ... };\ninstance.interceptors.request.use(tokenProvider(options));\n\n// When a call to an endpoint is made, a token will be provided as a header.\ninstance.get('/foo')\n```\n\n### Providing a token\n\nThere are different ways to provide a token. You can provide the token as a static value:\n\n```js\ninstance.interceptors.request.use(tokenProvider({\n  token: 'abc'\n}));\n\n// This will send the \"Authorization: Bearer abc\" header when making the call to the API endpoint.\ninstance.get('/foo')\n```\n\nInstead of providing a static value you can also use a method to get the token:\n\n```js\ninstance.interceptors.request.use(tokenProvider({\n  getToken: () =\u003e localStorage.get('access_token')\n}));\n\n// This will send the \"Authorization: Bearer ...\" header when making the call to the API endpoint.\ninstance.get('/foo')\n```\n\nAnd this method can also return a promise:\n\n```js\ninstance.interceptors.request.use(tokenProvider({\n  getToken: () =\u003e someMethod()\n    .then(response =\u003e response.access_token);\n}));\n\n// This will send the \"Authorization: Bearer ...\" header when making the call to the API endpoint.\ninstance.get('/foo')\n```\n\n### Customizing the Header\n\nThe following options allow you to set the header and the header value:\n\n```js\ninstance.interceptors.request.use(tokenProvider({\n  token: 'abc',\n  header: 'X-Api-Key',\n  headerFormatter: (token) =\u003e 'token/' + token,\n}));\n\n// This will send the \"X-Api-Key: token/abc\" header when making the call to the API endpoint.\ninstance.get('/foo')\n```\n\n### Caching\n\nIn cases where getting a token is an expensive operation (eg: exchanging a refresh token for an access token) you'll want to cache this work for as long as the token is valid.\n\nThe following example shows how we can cache tokens for 8 hours:\n\n```js\nconst cache = tokenProvider.tokenCache(\n  getTokenFromAuthorizationServer().then(res =\u003e res.body.access_token),\n  { maxAge: ms('8h') }\n);\n\ninstance.interceptors.request.use(tokenProvider({\n  getToken: cache\n}));\n```\n\nNow it could also be that the token itself contains the expiration time (this is typically `expires_in` you'll get from your Authorization Server).
