It also supports the robust LBCI proposed\nby [Falk (2018)](https://doi.org/10.1080/10705511.2017.1367254).\nIt was described in the following manuscript:\n\n- Cheung, S. F., \u0026 Pesigan, I. J. A. (2023). *semlbci*:\nAn R package for forming likelihood-based confidence\nintervals for parameter estimates, correlations,\nindirect effects, and other derived parameters.\n*Structural Equation Modeling: A Multidisciplinary Journal*.\n*30*(6), 985--999.\nhttps://doi.org/10.1080/10705511.2023.2183860\n\nAs argued in the article and by others,\nLBCI is usually better than Wald-based\nconfidence interval and delta method\nconfidence interval, which are the\ndefault method in most structural\nequation modeling (SEM) program.\nHowever, there is one technical\ndisadvantage: LBCI cannot be directly\ncomputed but needs to be \"found\"\n(searched) by some algorithms. Wald CIs,\non the other hand, can be computed\nquickly.\n\nIn\n[`semlbci`](https://sfcheung.github.io/semlbci/),\nwe try to address this disadvantage of\nLBCI by implementing an efficient\nmethod (illustrated by\n[Pek \u0026 Wu, 2018](https://doi.org/10.1007/s11336-015-9461-1),\nadapted from [Wu \u0026 Neale, 2012](https://doi.org/10.1007/s10519-012-9560-z)),\nto help researchers to form LBCIs for\nmodel parameters, including user-defined\nparameters, in models fitted by `lavaan`.\nIt can also form LBCIs for the standardized\nsolution, such as \"betas\" (standardized\nregression coefficients) and correlations,\nand support multiple-group models.
