Appendices, references, diagrams and tables will not be included in\nthis total.\n\nWord Count:\n- 5265 (title page, section headings and figure captions)\n- 5183 (title page, section headings, no figure captions)\n- 5163 (section headings only)\n\n\"\\usepackage[none]{hyphenat}\"\n\nThe format of the project report should be:\n\n- Introduction and background\n- Outline of the issue or opportunity and the business problem to be solved\n- Methods used \u0026 justification\n- The scope of the project (including key performance indicators)\n- Data selection, collection \u0026 pre-processing\n- Survey of potential alternatives\n- Implementation - performance metrics\n- Results\n- Discussion \u0026 conclusions/recommendations\n- Summary of findings\n- Implications\n- Caveats \u0026 limitations\n- Appendices\n  - Code \u0026 documentation used for the project e.g. coding developed\n  - Statistical rigour - To include uncertainty/bias/error estimates as appropriate\n  - Figures/tables/visualisation as appropriate to project\n  - Mapping of the project report to the KSB’s mapped to this method\n  - Verification by the apprentice's employer that the project report is a true reflection of\nthe apprentice's involvement, and the report is their own work.\n\n## Presentation\n\nApprentices will prepare and deliver a presentation that appropriately covers the KSBs assigned to\nthis method of assessment.\n\nThe presentation will be based on the project report and will cover:\n- a high-level summary of the main aspects of the project report\n- context/implications/recommendations from the project report\n- research undertaken\n- practical application of knowledge, skills and behaviours to complete the project report\n- business recommendations\n- any follow-on outcomes\n- actions and next steps.\n\nThe presentation with supplementary questions will last for 75 minutes (the typical length of the\npresentation will be 30 minutes and the typical length of the questioning will be 45 minutes). The\nindependent assessor has the discretion to increase the time of the presentation by up to 10% to\nallow the apprentice to answer their last question.\n\nTo deliver the presentation, the apprentice will have access to:\n- flip chart\n- work products\n- notes\n- interactive boards\n- PowerPoint\n- videos\n- computer\n- interactive demonstrations.\n\nA minimum of 10 questions will be asked at the end of the presentation; follow-up questions are\nallowed and do not form part of the question number count.
