[Development - Guide for contributing to the module](#development)\n    * [Acceptance Tests - Beaker env variables](#acceptance-tests)\n\n\n## Description\n\nThis Puppet module manages some facets of tuned and ktune.\n\n\n### This is a SIMP module\n\nThis module is a component of the [System Integrity Management Platform](https://simp-project.com),\na compliance-management framework built on Puppet.\n\nIf you find any issues, they may be submitted to our [bug tracker](https://simp-project.atlassian.net/).\n\nThis module is optimally designed for use within a larger SIMP ecosystem, but it can be used independently:\n\n * When included within the SIMP ecosystem, security compliance settings will be managed from the Puppet server.\n\n\n## Setup\n\n\n### What tuned affects\n\nThis module manages the following resouces:\n  * /etc/tuned.conf\n  * /etc/sysconfig/ktune\n  * /etc/sysctl.ktune\n  * tuned package\n  * tuned service\n\n\n### Beginning with tuned\n\nJust include the `tuned` class on the systems you want to manage.\n\n## Usage\n\nInclude the class from hiera:\n\n```yaml\n---\nclasses:\n  - tuned\n```\n\nFile contents can be tweaked by adding more hieradata:\n\n``` yaml\n---\ntuned::disktuning_alpm: false\ntuned::io_scheduler: cfq\n```\n\n\n## Reference\n\nPlease refer to [REFERENCE.md](REFERENCE.md)\n\n\n## Limitations\n\nSIMP Puppet modules are generally intended for use on Red Hat Enterprise Linux and compatible distributions, such as CentOS.
