Clone the repository\n\nFirst, clone the repository from GitHub:\n\n```bash\ngit clone https://github.com/softwareone-platform/pytest-capsqlalchemy\n```\n\n### 2. Set Up Your Development Environment\n\nThen, install the environment and the pre-commit hooks with\n\n```bash\nmake install\n```\n\nThis will also generate your `uv.lock` file\n\n### 3. Run the pre-commit hooks\n\nInitially, the CI/CD pipeline might be failing due to formatting issues. To resolve those run:\n\n```bash\nuv run pre-commit run -a\n```\n### 4. Run the tests\n\nThe tests require a Postgres database to be running. If you prefer to use a local database you need to edit the `.env` file with\nthe connection options for it. Alternatively, you can use the provided `docker-compose.yaml` to run it within docker -- all you\nneed to do is run:\n\n```bash\ndocker compose up test_postgres -d\n```\n\nAnd after that to run the tests:\n\n```bash\nmake test\n```\n\n### 5. Commit the changes\n\nLastly, commit the changes made by the two steps above to your repository.\n\n```bash\ngit add .\ngit commit -m 'Fix formatting issues'\ngit push origin main\n```\n\nYou are now ready to start development on your project!\nThe CI/CD pipeline will be triggered when you open a pull request, merge to main, or when you create a new release.\n\nTo finalize the set-up for publishing to PyPI, see [here](https://fpgmaas.github.io/cookiecutter-uv/features/publishing/#set-up-for-pypi).\nFor activating the automatic documentation with MkDocs, see [here](https://fpgmaas.github.io/cookiecutter-uv/features/mkdocs/#enabling-the-documentation-on-github).\n","project_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fsoftwareone-platform%2Fpytest-capsqlalchemy","html_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/projects/github.com%2Fsoftwareone-platform%2Fpytest-capsqlalchemy","lists_url":"https://awesome.ecosyste.ms/api/v1/projects/github.com%2Fsoftwareone-platform%2Fpytest-capsqlalchemy/lists"}
