Most\nlibraries are formulated around the handling of images which are dense or nearly\ndense. However, we're interested in factorizing highly sparse (\u003e99.9%) tensors\nand have written NTFLib for this use case.\n\nCurrently, we only support rank-3 tensors, but extending to this to higher rank\ntensors is fairly straightforward.\n\nThe algorithm implemented by beta_ntf features standard multiplicative updates\nminimizing β-divergence, which were recently shown to guarantee a decrease of\nthe cost-function at each step.
